How to play songs from one artist only in a playlist?

This is still not resolved by Spotify devs. 

Use-case: I want to play songs from one particular artist but only the songs that are on one of my playlists. E.g. I have a playlist 90s-00s Rock, I have artist all the way from Blink to Metallica but only the songs I like from each artists, and not their whole discography. I want to play only songs from The Offspring. 



This is possible in Apple Music. I can't figure it out here in Spotify. Not sure if I'm missing something or if this is definitely a Featured Request.

Thanks for reaching out! 

You can pull the screen down on mobile (while viewing a playlist) to reveal the Search & Sort options at the top of the screen.
With Sort you can select Artists and this will filter the artists in your playlist alphabetically. Pressing it a second time will reverse the order.
In case you'd prefer to have a filter alongside the sort feature that will show you only the songs from the specific artist, you can also leave a vote to this idea here 🙂
