How to turn off auto play when connected to Bluetooth devices

Everytime my phone connects to any Bluetooth device, Spotify automatically starts playing the last track.

I have searched in the Spotify and phone settings (OnePlus 6) and I am unable to find any options to disable this feature.

I have searched all over for a solution but can't find one.

Any help would be great.

I have same problem , but with even more frustrating combo.

Every time when phone call end (or rejected) Spotify start playing last listened track.

Community have topics about this problem, some post are even over two years old. So you are not getting any help from here. Only fix is buy your music from another company. So I too do.

It's shame, because everything else in Spotify work flawless.
