My Question or Issue

I primarily listen to Spotify at work, and I like to listen to specific artists on shuffle. So I go to the artist page and hit "Shuffle Play".
I would expect this to shuffle the artist's entire discography, but recently I've noticed that all it's doing is shuffling a small selection of the Artist's songs in a dynamically generated playlist called "This is <Artist Name>".

This is not desirable functionality at all, as there is no easy way just to shuffle an entire artist with one click. I have to log into spotify desktop and use the "play" button on an artist there.

Is there a way to turn this off?

This behaviour is also exhibited on iOS as highlighted here: https://community.spotify.com/t5/iOS-iPhone-iPad/Disable-This-Is-Artist/td-p/4593728

I have also discovered that asking a Google Home or Amazon Echo "X, Shuffle Songs By <Artist Name>" results in one of these playlists being generated.
