Keep screen on while reading lyrics

I have a pixel2 running Android 11. When I access song lyrics to sing while listening to music in "karaoke mode", I expect the phone screen to stay on, but on my mobile it keeps powering off. So I have to wake it up every 30 secs. Spotify should realize that I'm singing to lyrics and keep the screen on. Just like YouTube keeps the screen on while I watch a video. Thanks

What we can recommend is disabling Screen timeout from your Android's Display settings. This way your screen won't turn off automatically after a certain time. Currently there is no way to keep Spotify actively on the screen as the app is primarily designed for playing music and it's not a visual oriented application.

Samsung is failed to catch up with technology which is why the screen goes dark in standby mode. My iPhone screen is on as long as the lyrics keep rolling with Spotify. Maybe try to extend the Android phone screen safer to 3 minutes.
