Keeps pausing when going from a song to a podcast (and vice versa)

For some reason if I'm listening to a playlist with both podcasts and music in it (i.e. my Daily Drive), whenever Spotify transitions from playing a song to a podcast, it just paused at the start of the podcast (and the same from podcasts to songs).

I've already tried clearing the cache; it's not an internet issue as 9 times out of 10 both the music and the podcast are already downloaded ready-to-go.

Could you check if there's an update available for the app? You can check this by following the steps here. Another option is to do a clean reinstall. This will ensure that you're running the latest version, as well as clear saved cache from older versions.

If possible, could you check if this also happens with another account? For example, you can ask a friend or a family member to log in to their own Spotify account on your device.

Should the issue persist, can you let us know the make and model of your device, along with the operating system version?
