Keeps playing after disconnect with Android Auto

Keeps playing after disconnect with Android Auto

After using Android Auto in my car and unplugging the usb, my phone keeps playing the same song with its speaker. Even if I press the stop button, it automatically plays again after few seconds. Have to restart the phone to stop it.

same here. I unplug from my car and 5-15 minutes later spotify starts playing from my phone speaker.

My phone is Samsung S8. You?

Same issue here.  Galaxy S6. After using Android Auto, whatever was playing in the car randomly starts playing on the phone a few minutes later.  I pause and kill the app, then another few minutes later it restarts with the same song on my phone.  I don't know whether it's an Android Auto issue or a Spotify issue.

I'll be watching this post...hopefully someone has a fix.

Same here. It happens after 5 or 7 minutes after disconnecting from my car stereo (I am using Bluetooth connection). I stopped the music, but again after 5 or so minutes start playing again on its own. To solve the issue I have to actually go to apps running and force stop spotify.

I have this exact same problem. Even when I close the app and notification bar, it will return after a few minutes and start playing. I have begun to just keep my media sound levels muted by default, which is NOT ideal!

Exact same issue with android auto and Galaxy S8. Any word from tech support on that?

Same for me with a Pixel 2.

I am having the exexa same issue with my Galaxy S8. It's driving me crazy. It's enough to make me cancel my Spotify subscription and switch to another streaming service. But before I go that surely there must be some fix.

Same here s8 did anyone reslove this.

Nope. Its still happening to me.

Im having same issue on my s8 drives me mad

I'm glad it's not just me.  Galaxy s6 and same issue here.  Works OK via Bluetooth but not with AA.

I don't know if an update has been pushed or something, but the problem seems to have disappeared for me on my Galaxy S8.

Around the same time this problem disppeared though, I noticed that when I make a request with a voice command to play a song, it takes forever to start playing, up to 30 sec or more. No idea if there's any relation to the two issues, but one started at the same time the other stopped.

Stopped for a while but just started again.
