Hi there,
Welcome to the Spotify Community!
Could you check if you've enabled Show audio files from this device in the app's settings? Make sure also you're allowing Spotify to access your files and internal storage. This can be done in Settings > Apps > Spotify > Permissions.
For more info on local files check out this article.
Cheers 🤘

yes i have show audio files from this device enabled, and the only permisons the app dosen't have are camera, contacts and microphone so i dont think that would be the problem either
and also why did you mark it as solved without asking me if it worked first?
Hey there @jorjotoxx,
Thanks for your reply and for the info shared.
We'd suggest you perform a clean reinstall of the app on the affected device. By doing that the app can be up-to-date and you can make sure the stored cache is not leading to this issue. If you haven't yet, you can follow these steps to do it.
If issues persist afterwards, then we'd like to gather some additional info. Please send us the following:

Hey @jorjotoxx,
Thank you for keeping in contact and for the info shared.
To continue investigating this case, would you mind confirming if the audio files were working previously and if the behavior started after an OS or Spotify update?
Also, keep in mind that Spotify should support any audio file formats supported by your mobile device, but if they're not playing correctly within Spotify, you can try changing their format to MP3 (which is a more universal coding format) to see if it makes any difference.
We'd also recommend downloading the audio files from another legal source and adding them again to your local files, making sure you're following the steps mentioned in this article to see if it makes any difference.
Hope this helps. Let us know how it goes.
thanks for replying, no it wasn't an update i discovered the local files option and wanted to use it in my phone but the files don't sync.
All my song are in .mp3 (any other format is a mental disorder beeing sicere, why can't we all use .mp3?)
and i have downloaded the .mp3 from 3 difrent legal sources
Hey @jorjotoxx,
Thank you for keeping in contact and for the info shared.
To continue with the troubleshooting, since there are different ways to upload the local files to your phone, we'd recommend deleting them and then transferring the audio files from the desktop to your phone through USB to see if it makes any difference.
It would also be worth having someone log in with their account on your device - such as a friend or a family member, to see if the local files stored on your device work properly on their account.
Lastly, would you mind sending one of your files to someone else (it could be the same friend/family member) to see if they can play it properly from their device?
We'll be on the lookout.
