Memory space not recovered after spotify uninstall

Solved!

Memory space not recovered after spotify uninstall

Hi there,

As my phone's internal memory ran out of free space, I uninstalled spotify to get rid of all offline songs I had.

Unfortunately, Spotify is gone but my free space has not grown up...

Spotify cache was around 3GB and my free space is till around 1GB only after deletion....

I searched for a com.spotify folder, but can't locate any.

I've tried to re-install Spotify, but it doesn't see any offline stuff.

I've restarted the device several times, and no change either.

Any help appreciated,

Cheers,

Android 5.0

Spotify stores all data and any downloaded files in the following location:

/Android/data/com.spotify.music

If after uninstalling the app this folder is no longer on the sd card then there's something else taking your storage. You could also try in a pc if that would be easier?

Try using a file analyser app to find large files on your device. It sounds like it may not actually be Spotify that's taking your space if the folder is not present in /Android/data

Hi,

Thanks for you reply.

I'll check with a file analyzer but it would be really weird if it was another app as the free space has not changed after Spotify deletion whereas it was said (in applications menu) to take ~3Go...

I've tried several analyzer, but no one can show me the content of 'Storage card' which is taking most of the space...

Anyway, I'm pretty sure Spotify let dangling files somewhere when uninstalled.

Is there no Spotify tech that can anwser?

(or a Spotify tehcnical support I could contact...?)
