[Minor bug] Bug when playing through Spotify connect

[Minor bug] Bug when playing through Spotify connect

When I played some songs through connect that I have offline on my phone but not on my tablet, I noticed the remote won't have any metadata (except the time of the song).  For example, I played a song called The Mark over connect. When I opened fullscreen on the tablet it shows the metadata from another song named Apache (the right time 4:10 is shown though.

I didn't know it would be possible to play a local file on a connected device as it streams the music direct from the servers and not from the controlling device, as far as I know. Are you absolutely certain the local file wasn't on the tablet? Where was it getting the track from in that case, I wonder?

The tablet is my remote controller, sorry for not pointing that out

Ah OK. I don't think that's a bug as the controlling device can't get the metadata if a track isn't in the spotify database or on the controller. Bearing in mind that the original concept of Connect was to have a hardware device, with no stored music, play a tracklist by streaming direct from the spotify servers. What you're asking for is that the playing device send metadata back to the controller and, probably, the best approach would be to post this feature request in the ideas section.
