Mobile Data vs. WiFi priority

Mobile Data vs. WiFi priority

My Issue

At home i use my WiFi, but also have my mobile data activated, so i don't have to switch it on when i leave home and vice versa.

This morning i noticed, that Spotify didn't download new songs even though WiFi was active. It said, that i have to activate ,,download via mobile data" first.

So it seems, Spotify prioritized mobile data over WiFi - is this a bug?

Of course, when deactivating mobile Data, the downloads instantly began.

Also i'm afraid, spotify streams via mobile data at home, because it may not recognize the established WiFi connection?!

Hey @kaeptnalex - help's here!

If you have WiFi switched on, then this should be prioritised over your mobile network. However, bear in mind that this is a setting which is managed from the device rather than from Spotify.

Out of interest, is this issue specific to your Spotify account or your device? To check this, do you mind logging in with another account and/or logging in on another mobile device with the same account?

Thanks - keep us posted!
