I have a 16GB Nexus 4. Recently I've been getting "No SD Card Found" and it wont allow me to do anything. If i reboot I get the same error. All my other apps can access my "SD Card" with no issues. The only way I have found to fix this problem is to uninstall and reinstall, but the issue appears again in less than a week.
Looks like I'm not the only one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=42410470
P.S. Spotify just gave me for my various contributions the rank of "Superfan". lol I think it's the opposite with all the problems I've had with the android app and html5 app.
In fact i get this after the error, the only way to fix it is to delete the Application Data, but the problem is that i have to download the Offline Playlists again
Can you please take a look at this issue?
So here's a fun issue...
I'm having it, too. I thought it was the ROM I was running (Slimbean Build 6 on Galaxy S4) but I returned to stock, and (after cleaning up data folders and all that to get my space back) I relaunched Spotify and boom. Same issue as the guys above. Had to uninstall and reinstall to get it to work. Wonder if this issue will pop back up? Also... why can't I decide where I want my downloaded playlists to go to? Maybe I want them on my internal storage for faster read/write? O.o
I have had this problem for a couple of weeks. I've purchased a new SD card, thinking the old one was corrupt. I've un-installed and re-installed spotify several times. Nothing works.
.
Is there a fix to this? I have no need for a paid subscription service THAT DOES NOT FREAKING WORK.
Galaxy Note II
I too am having the same problem running a stock rom on a new Galaxy S4
I had the same problem. Uninstalled, reinstalled. Fixed it.
I am having the same problem on my s3 running a 32gb samsung sd card. takes agggggeees to open spoitify and everytime starts downloading some, if not ALL, my albums again when I log in. SO frustrating.
How to fix this? Save albums to internal memory?
You're having the problem of No SD card or you're having the problem in this bug report?
same problem here
ALSO FOR ME - on LG990
Guys. PLease post the following information if this is still happening with today's update.
I'm going to move this thread to another similar one.
0.6.4.47 version
Undownloaded 2 albums
Settings>Storage stil showed memory on use
cleaned cache
tried to start Spotify
got an error saying unable to find free space to store
Had to uninstall app and download again, seems to be working fine now
I'm getting this error usually after I clear the cache from the app and my phone doesn't even support exandable memory via an SD card.
Please post if it happens again. I'm moving your post to join the others 🙂
I think I might have a solution.
I have had the same problem today (started using spotify only since today) every time after a reboot of my phone (Motorola Droid 4) and started Spotify, the app would report "No SD card found"
By default the app is installed on my SD card, but it does not seem to handle it that well.
After the following steps, I got it working fine again, also after a reboot.
- uninstall spotify
- unmount the SD card
- remove the SD card
- reboot the phone (just in case)
- re-install Spotify (on the phone internal storage)
- logged in to Spotify
- reboot the phone (to check if Spotify would still work, it did...)
- turn off the phone
- re-install the SD card
- turn on the phone and check again if Spotify still works.
Same issue.

Hi guys!
I had the exact same issue... and I resolved it by simply clearing the cache from the Spotify app and restarting the app! GL
