My Question or Issue

I use The Clock app by Google as my alarm and have it set to play a random song from my Spotify liked songs. This works and is great except this then turns on shuffle in the Spotify app which then remains on until I turn it off again.

I could learn to live with it if the shuffle button was on the now playing screen for Discover weekly and Daily Mixes but Spotify in their infinite wisdom have hidden it behind the 3 dot menu. It's clearly visible, along with repeat, in every other play mode just not when listening to these lists (as far as I can tell). Why the different layouts for Discover weekly and Daily Mixes? Even if you wanted the different layout are you telling me having shuffle and repeat behind a menu is more intuitive than in the great black void between the "devices" and "queue" buttons under the media keys or anywhere else in plain view?

All I want is to be able to see if shuffle is toggled on at a glance and have a one tap to turn it off so I know where I'm up to in these lists when I switch to listening to a podcast or something else for a while. Of course a resume playlist feature would be better but after more than a decade of falling on deaf ears that's never happening. Perhaps we can have an option in settings to have shuffle remain on from one playlist to the next or not. Or just put the god damn button back on the Discover weekly and Daily Mixes screen.
