No sound on streaming on Nexus 7 (2012)

Since a few days back, I cannot stream any music with the Android Spotify app over wi-fi with my Nexus 7 tablet. I can play downloaded songs (I have the premium service), but when I try to stream a song, there's no sound. Any idea what to do here?

Just some things to check. If they don't help, try reinstalling spotify.

Do other internet apps work normally?

Is offline mode turned on?

Do you see any errors when you try to stream a track?

Does the play bar move?

Rebooted several times, updated app, but haven't reinstalled. No problems with other apps. Offline mode

is turned on; I can download music and play back downloaded tracks normally. When streaming the play bar moves, but there's no sound.

Try turning offline mode off as having it turned on prevents streaming. You should have got a warning on-screen when trying to stream a track saying that you were in offline mode.

Issue seems to be fixed now; I have not done anything, but streaming works again 😉
