Offline Playlist on new phone

Offline Playlist on new phone

I've been using Spotify premium for offline listening for a couple years. I drive  for work and I don't have unlimited data, so offline listening is a no brainer. This weekend I'll be upgrading my phone from a Note 4 to a Note 8. If I sign into my account on the new phone, will I be able to simply download all my downloaded music there? Or would I have to copy it to a micro SD and then transfer my downloaded music from that to the new phone? I'd prefer to not have it as a Playlist, as I like to be able to search songs, albums and artists on alphabetical order.  Thanks!

Hi @Alehuta!

Welcome to the Community.

Congrats on your new acquisition!

As you'll be using a new device and Spotify's downloads are saved as cache files that are attached to the phone itself, it's not possible to transfer those downloaded files to your new phone.

No worries, all you'd have to do is download your music once again on your new device. Just make sure to follow these steps. Keep in mind you can have up to 3 devices for offline use.

Hope this helps!
