My Question or Issue

So we have an issue which has only just started, it used to work fine.

Our alexa account is logged into a dedicated spotify account for the echo devices as otherwise if someone's listening at home and I'm at work it stops my play. My partner has her own Spotify and I have my own, we used to be able to play to any device by clicking on devices at the bottom in the Spotify app, now however when I click on devices I only get the sonos devices as My account is registered on the sonos app and My partner gets no devices other than a TV. I have managed to get her phone to show the alexas but to do this I have had to change the registered sonos to hers which doesn't solve the issue of her music stopping if someone at home is using it and even then I still cannot see the echo devices on mine?

I have tried unistalling both Spotify accounts and fresh installing and this hasn't changed anything. Please help as this is just not working how we envisioned.

Hey @Rodg98133,

Thanks for reaching out!

Sonos and Alexa work slightly different - in Sonos you can add multiple Spotify accounts with just one Sonos account and switch between them.

Alexa doesn’t let you do that, but it should be possible for you to create multiple Alexa profiles within an Amazon Household and have every individual Alexa profile linked with the corresponding Spotify account. You will then have to remember to switch Alexa profiles when using voice commands to avoid interrupting each other’s playback.

As for the speakers disappearing from the device picker, this can happen if the speaker was previously used from a different Spotify account. Power cycling usually helps in that case or you can use the command ‘Alexa, Spotify Connect’ and Alexa will start looking for available accounts in range.

Hope this helps!
