Playlist always restarting from first track

Happens on my Moto G5.

If I'm listening to, say song #237 in a playlist, when the song is over it always jumps back to the first song in said playlist. This happens with any song # I choose. If i listen to an album then the playback works as it should. Anyone else experinced this?

I see this too on android with most recent install with my "starred" playlist containing less than 700 tracks. This is utterly frustrating! Tapping 'next' always plays the first track, not the next track. Come on guys, this is basic stuff: next on track 302 is track 303 and NOT track 1.

Hope this is resolved quickly. I don't see this behaviour with other playlists or albums.

Follow-up: I'm playing spotify music with android 5.0 tablet and a chromecast audio (spotify connect). Rebooting both devices does not fix the problem. At first it seemed to work, but after not much more than trying a few times, the exact same problem appears. Especially when scrolling down the playlist. The next song is again the first track in the playlist. Over and over. I don't get this. VERY annoying 😞
