Playlist plays in reverse order of recently listened to songs

I may listen to several songs while in my car or at home. Later or the next day, I start up Spotify again and it plays the songs that I just listened to in reverse order. For example. If I listen to songs A, B, C and listening to songs D when I turn it off. It'll finish songs D when I turn it back on and then play song C, then B, then A and so on. It's been doing this for weeks. I've deleted and reinstalled several times. The problem is super frustrating.
