Playlist search doesn't filter

My Question or Issue

first of all, I might be missing something here. I'm using the "search playlist" as a way to filter it because the "filter" bar is gone since the most recent (in-app) redesign.

The "search playlist" feature shows a subset of the playlist, much like filtering would've done (RIP), but it doesn't behave like it. Unlike filtering, selecting a song from the new list, still includes songs from original list in shuffle-mode (I haven't tried the standard mode). This is very irritating because I don't expect songs I cannot see to play.

If you know that search is not supposed to filter a playlist, you may disregard this issue and see it as an idea. Making playlists on a per-artist-basis which I wouldn't need to do on the desktop (macOS) client (because it still filters), ain't gonna happen 🙂

To improve UX if this is intended behaviour, reset the search when a song is picked. That way, the user would see what might play next.
