Podcast stop recommendation playback after an episode ends

Podcast stop recommendation playback after an episode ends

Hello,

I'm very annoyed from playback when I finish a podcast episode, and suddenly it plays a random episode from another podcast, even if I accidentally clicked it ones in my life, or listened for a while and stopped following it.

It annoys me a lot, especially when I use a different device, like Google nest, and thus I cannot put on the sleep timer to stop then the episode ends.

If it is possible to stop Spotify from going to the next episode, unless I put one in a queue, please let me know, as it is driving me crazy that I get unwanted content on a daily basis.

Hey @Yuradex,

Thanks for posting in the Community.

Could you check out this thread for a possible workaround?

Let us know if that helped out.

Cheers!

Thanks for your reply Dian,

However, it seems like most of the people there complain about exactly the same issue, keep music playback on and turning it off for podcasts.

But I didn't see any comment there that answers how to do it.

I hope it is possible, as the thread you sent me a link to is 2 years old already, so I would assume there is a solution.

Thanks,

Yuri

Hey @Yuradex

Thanks for your reply.

We're afraid it's currently not possible to disable Autoplay only for podcasts.

We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback with us and will make sure to pass it onto the right team, as we always strive to improve your experience.

You can also add your +Vote to this live idea, if you'd like to have this option in the future.  The Idea Exchange is a great way for us to see what our users are interested in and how many people like a certain idea.

Hello,

I'm extremely disappointed to see the vote is 5 years old, and last update that it had enough votes to be forwarded to development team was 2 years ago.

It feels like Spotify is just putting things on paper but doesn't really care about the convenience of paying customers.
