[Q] Is it possible to select which SDcard to use for caching?

[Q] Is it possible to select which SDcard to use for caching?

Hello,

I'm on an older Galaxy S2 so I probably have a very singular problem. But is there any way to specify where spotify hosts it's cache?

Here's why I ask. My current phone has:

- Internal SD card (~11GB)

- External SD card (~30GB or something dumb)

It is running android 5.1.1 despite being an older model, so version/feature parity should not be an issue.

Anyway, spotify prefers to use the first [internal sdcard] where I'd rather have it use the 2nd, since the capacity disparity is quite evident and the fact that I usually have to share my internal SD with some appdata.

Thanks in advance.

Seems I had an SD card with just 8 GB so my internal SD was chosen. So in the end it was my bad. I just didn't even bother checking the ext_sd capacity.

Thanks for the tip though.

Ah, what you could do them is fool Spotify into using the lower capacity sd card by filling up your internal memory so that it has less free space than your sd card does.

Then install the Spotify app and open it which will then choose the sd card as the cache location.

Now remove the files used to bolster out the internal memory so that your phone is back to normal but with the cache now sitting on your sd card.
