Update: I unplugged my Echo Dot, and plugged it back in. It's working again. Give that a try!

Same problem here. Noticed it this morning for the first time.
Mine started doing this today too - not sure if it's a Spotify or an Amazon issue. Either way, app has become unuseable.
I am also having this problem, as of 5-6 days ago. Worked fine before then.
Update: I unplugged my Echo Dot, and plugged it back in. It's working again. Give that a try!
I think unplugging and plugging it back did the trick for me too. I previously tried just de-linking my Spotify account on the Alexa app but that didn't work. Thanks!
I have the same problem. Not on every song but too many times, very annoying. Thought it was my bluetooth speaker but just upgraded to Bose Soundtouch 10 and get the same thing. I don't think unplugging Dot made a difference
