My Question or Issue

I've been having myriad problems utilizing the Spotify app since installing on this phone. Opening the app takes forever and causes lagging in the OS and other apps. Switching playlists is sometimes impossible, songs will continue playing even if skip or pause is hit. Songs will stop playing randomly but the progress time bar will continue moving. Have uninstalled and reinstalled, have cleared app cache, have wiped phone cache, have done a factory reset of the phone. It does not seem to matter whether the phone is connected through mobile data or WiFi.

We can recommend that you check the phone's battery settings and make sure that Spotify is set as an exception if you're using the battery optimization option.

It's also a good idea to check that Spotify has the permissions to run in the background.

You could also check that you've followed all the steps for performing a clean reinstall here, because that could solve some issues caused by damaged cache.
