Samsung Galaxy Tab A Doesn't Play in Background

My Question or Issue

Spotify app only plays for a few minutes, then stops playing when the device is left idle, or I am multitasking .

I am occasionally prompted to change settings in the app to allow playing in the background. But, there is no such setting in the UI.

In general it plays for a few minutes then stops playing.. The app doesn't crash and it resumes playing if I use the UI.
