Screen keeps doubling up on android app

I don't know how to describe it but whenever I leave the app or go to the the current track playing it randomly takes a snapshot of what was on my last screen and overlays it over where spotify opens up at default and its very obstructive. As an example if I was looking at a search result and went to check the internet for 3 minutes or 30 minutes if go back to the app and the search page will still be up but underneath is the default screen.Its almost as if it forgot to refresh the screen when it reset the app.
