Search is broken reporting that I'm offline, even if I'm not

Can't use android app for some time now.

Search is broken reporting that I'm offline, even if I'm not. I tried many things including (but not limited to):

- reinstall app

- clear cache data (helps for a moment, then problem appears back).

Please advice.

Looking back, this problem has been around sice 2012.  I'm a premium user, using a S7 in the UK and have the same problem.  I've deleted the data, cache and app and reinstalled twice.  I've used a facebook login and the Spotify login. I still can't search or play files that I haven't downloaded.  This is infuriating.

Anybody of staff cares for explanation?
