Searching within a playlist doesn't limit the shuffle to this keyword only.

Searching within a playlist doesn't limit the shuffle to this keyword only.

Basically, on PC whenever you search for an artist in a playlist with multiple artists, and play a song, the shuffle will only play songs from this artist until you remove the search. Basically making a playlist within a playlist.

This doesnt happen on android, it just plays the song you selected then plays randomly from the playlist as a whole, neglecting your search.

Thanks.

Hi there @lieutenantJoker,

Thanks for posting here in the Community!

Upon checking, it seems that currently it's expected behavior for the mobile app to only shuffle the searched item(s). Be advised that the mobile and desktop apps often differ in their functionality. However, we're always looking for ways to improve Spotify's functions and we'll make sure to forward this feedback to the relevant team.

Remember to always keep the app up-to-date in order not to miss anything new.

It doesn't though, It also used to happen on my iPhone and it still happens on my friends iPhones and Androids.

My app is up to date.

Any other ideas?

Hey @lieutenantJoker,

Thanks for the reply!

We’re always testing possible improvements and new app features. This means that your friends might see something on the app that you don’t see, or that you may get access to a brand-new feature for only a temporary period. However, we're constantly gathering feedback on different features, so we appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts about this.

Hope this clear things up!
