I am having several small issues on Spotify Android.

  1. Most times I am listening and then connect to Bluetooth, the current song is skipped and shuffle is turned off (meaning it will continue in whatever order the playlist happens to be in).
  2. When I lock or unlock my phone, about 5 seconds of the song are skipped.
  3. When I connect to Bluetooth devices, there is often a freeze/delay. The Bluetooth device's display shows the play time moving (i.e. 0:05, 1:32, etc. and going up), but no audio plays and Spotify stays on 0:00.

Hey there @firebuff101,

Thank you for your post. We're happy to help.

Can you perform a clean reinstall of the app? This will make sure there's no old cache files causing this.

If that doesn't do the trick - can you log in with another account - such as a friend's or a family member's to see if the issue persist?

It would also be great if you can let us know which version of the app you have?

We'll keep an eye out for your reply.

Cheers!

Live, love, laugh and listen to music 🙂

@Jeremy I have reinstalled the app; there was no change. I do not have another account available to me to log into and try. Version 8.5.88.883

Hey @firebuff101,

Thanks for keeping us posted 🙂

Currently there is a new version of the app. You can check for updates with these steps.

It's also a good idea to head here and create a new account to see if the issue persists. Alternatively, you can try logging in to your account on another device. That way we can check if it's a device-related issue.

Keep us in the loop! If you have questions, you know where to find us.
