Shuffle play says premium feature when I have premium already

I have premium account and my account is current but when I click on shuffle because I noticed it was off, it says wow, you found a premium feature which I think is a stupid pop up and the developer that did that is just as terrible because I do have a premium account that is current and yet I can't use the feature I pay for?

Thanks for the post.

This is indeed very strange, as shuffle is on by default on free accounts, and you can't switch it off.

If you're sure you're logged in your Premium account and can use other Premium features, like downloading playlists or playing individual songs, can you please send us the following info so we can look into this further:

• Device model + OS version
• Spotify app version
• A screenshot of the error message 
• Does this error come up if you log in with your account on another phone?

Update, the solution to this is to switch from current Playlist to another that has shuffle on to get it to fix itself.

So I discovered this error when my Daily Mix 1 had played completely through and moved on to additional songs.  When I tapped back onto a song from the playlist, it enabled me to engage shuffle again.
