Skip button doesn't work

I have a family membership.  When I login to the master account, through Facebook, on my android phone I can double click the button on my headphones and it will skip to the next track.

When I login to a seperate account, on my family account, the button will not skip.  It only acts as a start/pause.

What am I missing here.
