Song pauses

Every time I lock my phone the song either pauses in the middle of it, or will pause when the song ends. When I pull up the app after that the song starts automatically without pressing play. Have I turned on some certain setting? This has only begun recently. Please help.

Are you using a Samsung phone? Samsung introduced an agressive power saving option which is closing Spotify when the application is sent to the background or the screen display turned off.

There is a battery saving option that you need to turn off. More info here:

Thank you! That was it, I've got power saving mode on almost always. Thanks again, nothing more upsetting than your music turning off mid set at the gym haha
