Ive had this problem for a few days now on the latest Android released version of Spotify. Counter ticks but volume is muted. When unplugging the headset its working but whenever changing tracks I have to re-insert the headphones.. I want my monthly fee back!
Dont tell me that I should check the volume settings. And by the way - lots of people have the exact same problem - just check the comments in Play Store..... Voted one star for now.
Hi,
Someone was having a similar issue in another post.
I'll escalate both topics over to the staff as it was probably a bug introduced in the latest version.
Anthony 🙂
What device are you using?
Are you rooted?
Are you running a custom ROM?
What Android version are you using?
Im using SGS4 GT-I9505, running:
Custom rom OMEGA 3.1
faux kernel
awesome beats
Rooted
Android 4.2.2
*Spotify won't debug issues on rooted/custom ROM'd devices. Yes, I know - stupid, but still.
No need to debug on rooted / custom rom phones. A lot of people are having the very same issue with stock SGS 4 / SGS 3... just check the latest comments on play store..... This is bad ...And whats even more disturbing is that I can see comments that dates back to the 28:th of may. Since this has been a working week spotify should be aware of this issue and instead of answering like you just did you should acknowledge the issue for all people that pay for the subscription. I excpect a refund.
The people that access root (i.e., the nerds) are more likely to report issues like this and contribute in making spotify better. This is just plain stupidity.
.
And you should read my signature and realise I don't work for Spotify.
LiamW - Im retarded! Sorry mate 🙂

Come on, there was no need for that...

I agree, and I did say exactly that when I was told 😉
Hi. It might help the devs if you could confirm whether you get the same behaviour with the stock ROM?
We've had a report of a similar issue on an S3 running stock 4.2 [http://community.spotify.com/t5/Help-Android/gt-50-tracks-sync-in-silence/m-p/429758] so let's leave the ROM issue to one side for now; with the caveat that it's not officially supported, etc.
In terms of gathering more info, I'd like to ask you the same question as in the other thread - what option do you have set for the sync quality in the app's settings?
I noticed this issue to be on certain tracks only. When this happens, I found that if I pause the track, then play I get audio again. But I have also found that the following track will have the same issue. Nex track does not. I believe it may be related to a particular track which then affect the next song.
ok.... so I followed the guide exactly as stated on http://community.spotify.com/t5/Help-Android/Android-Troubleshooting-Spotify/td-p/113082 , and guess what... it got worse! Now not only does spotify not play tracks when changing - but now also it lags and have graphic issues like white screen etc.... All other apps work perfectly on my Samsung galaxy S4 ...

The link you provided does not work. The reason is that you entered an extra"] in the end of the URL.
Had enough for now - Contacted my phone operator here in Sweden, Telia, and I've canceled my Sptify Premium subscription which I've had for a couple of years. When I come to think of it, I've had problems with Spotify not playing tracks for a very, very long time. I had the same problem with my HTC one X , and now (although it's escalated) With Samsung galaxy S4 .... Come google ...
I'm currently using an HTC One with Beats Audio on. I'm getting the same thing myself from time-to-time but not consistently, but I can't quite narrow down the conditions to reproduce it.
When this happens, do you find that turning off Beats helps at all?
And solwertep - we're very sorry if you'd like to leave the service as a result of this. We're more than happy to continue troubleshooting until it's fixed though, and we won't give up on you, promise!
Hey there you, Yeah, you! 😁 Welcome - we're glad you joined the Spotify Community! While you here, let's have a fun game and get…
