Songs are starting part way through, not at the beginning.

I have just installed the spotlight add on on kodi (android tv box) and when I play a track, the song is playing from part way through rather than the start of the track.  According to the timer, it is starting at the beginning and the full time is indicated, but it is definitely not playing from the beginning of the track 😕

Sorry, I just realised my typo... I meant spotify, not spotlight.  I have managed to resolve the issue, was going to close my question.  Rather than keeping the install of the spotify app within the kodi app, I installed it directly onto the android box using the Google play store.  Have no issues with it now.
