Songs greyed out on Android but not on the desktop

My Question or Issue

I've recently faced the issue of a large proportion of my songs in my playlists being greyed out on my S9's Spotify app. I've researched the issue and came to the conclusion that the only solution was to readd them to my playlists (an extremely painful and tedious process).

I completed this process on my desktop, but noticed that some of those not greyed out on my desktop are greyed out on my phone's app. These are *not* local files, and are from the albums available in my country (as they can be played/searched for in my desktop client). My phone's playlists also don't download these greyed out songs (they've downloaded the rest). 

Is there a solution to this problem? Or do I have to manually readd them on my phone? It affects a lot of my songs, so I thought to try getting an answere here first.
