Songs keep skipping and pausing randomly

I'm having this issue on my Samsung Galaxy S8 ever since the most recent update.

• Can you let us know what operating system and Spotify version you're currently using?  Android 8.0

• Does this happen when trying to stream music through 3G/4G or on WiFi? Both.

• Does the same thing happen under Offline Mode? Yes
• Is this happening across all your devices? I only use my paid subscription on my phone.

Thanks for getting back to us with this information.

Just to confirm, is this happening when you use a specific audio output, like headsets or other speakers?

Also, have you noticed if the issue only comes up when the phone is locked or idle?

After uninstalling the app and clearing my cache the issue was resolved. It was pausing pretty much whenever it felt like it.
