Songs randomly becoming unavailable, except they're not

My Question or Issue

Recently, a number of songs have been showing as "unavailable" (greyed out/unclickable) in my playlists. However, if I delete it then search for the same song/artist, it shows up, I can add it back to the playlist, and it works fine again. What could be the cause?

The behavior you observe might be caused by an outdated version of the Spotify app. We suggest you try a clean reinstall of the app on your device.

This step is important as it'll remove the old drivers first and then install the new ones. It'll also get you the latest version of Spotify. These changes tend to solve issues like the one you're experiencing.
