Spotify Android App Data Problem

Spotify Android App Data Problem

Dear Spotify,

Spotify is still my favorite music player rn (especially because of the great song radio) BUT I really hate that on my Android device (I'm using Samsung A50s running Android 11 with the most updated Spotify app from Google Play Store), the data of the app keeps getting bigger and took too much space, so I have to clear the storage it used regularly.

Please fix this. I really hope there's an option to clear the data without having to re-login.

Thank you.

Hey @ajiekurnia,

Thanks for reaching out. We've moved your post to the Help board as it better fits here.

As a first step, can you please try clean reinstalling the app and make sure that Spotify is set as an exception in any memory-optimizing services on your phone that might be corrupting its cached data and causing it to re-download it?

Also, check your audio quality settings and adjust them according to your preference.

We hope this helps. Let us know if you have other questions.
