Spotify Connect on Network player loses connection with Phone. Why?

Spotify Connect on Network player loses connection with Phone. Why?

I have a PIONEER N-70AE netw-player that worked seamlessly several years. Now using the Spotify App on Android or IPhone & does not function as it should. Player is connected with cable to the router. I changed the cable to a new one, still issue remains. I have used 2 different Android phones & one IPhone & the same problem occurs.
Firmware on N-Player is updated to to see if the problems get fixed, but no. I changed to WiFi on n-player , the issue still is there.
Spotify app was deleted and new one installed but no..

The Issue:
When start playing a song the n-player appears as is should and connects. then it disappears on phone & stops playback after 10 seconds on n-player.

Experiencing simular problems using chromecast units since may 24 update. The issue seems to be the volume control being changed to zero. Havent found any solution 

Well the volume control has nothing to do with this problem as the only thing that happens is that the Spotify Connect looses connection and then reconnects after some seconds and then again looses connection. At reconnect the plater on the phone shows that the music is playing bur the N-Player does not give out sound..
