Spotify For Android Tablets

Spotify For Android Tablets

I understand that there is a free version of spotify for tablets that allows playing un-shuffled, whereas the phone version can only play shuffled.

I have tried several time to install on my Natpc table but I alway end up with the shuffle version.

Any ideas anyone?

Which tablet is it and what screen size?

Tablets with a screen of less than 7" are regarded as mobile phones I believe but it may be that your tablet simply isn't being recognised as such. If it has a 7" or larger screen, you can contact the support team and they may be able to help.

Thanks

It's a NATPC M009S with a 7inch screen.

I contacted the SPotify support team.

It is true that any tablet with a 7 inch screen or less is clasified as a mobile device and gets the shuffle version.

Dissapointed with that, but support were very helpful and quick to respond, which impressed me.

As far as I was aware, tablets are 7 inches or above (inclusive of 7 inches).

Hi Peter

This is part of the reply I got from Spotify:

Hi David,

Thank you for getting back in touch.

I have had a look into this and I can see that your tablets screen size is 7" is this correct?

If this is the case, the reason that your only able to use shuffle is down to the fact that any device 7" or smaller is classed as a mobile device.

Shuffle is the only option on a mobile device using a Free subscription.

I hope this has cleared a few things up for you 🙂

Kind Regards,
