My Question or Issue

If I ask Google to play music in the living room she does this funny silly thing worse you open spotify and then she starts playing some music called music in the living room. Now I guess this artist is a new addition to spotify because this has never happened before because usually what Google does is she just plays music that is similar to what I asked for so let's play a radio of the artist that I ask for or she'll play a cover of the song that I asked for I am very tired of this happening

I realize that that is mostly a Google issue however I have blocked the songs that are wrong that I would never ask for like """"""music in the living room """"" literally  Because that's almost like a trick to congregate views and clicks from people who have smart homes. And even though I have it blocked and hid in my stupid google assistant keeps falling for it

Hi @venom400,

Thank you for posting on the Community.

Certainly this behavior is more related to Google Assistant itself, but there are some things we can suggest to you.

You might be able to start playback correctly if you give the command "Hey google play ARTIST NAME on the living room speaker".

You can also change the name of your speaker, but take into account that you'd still need to use the word "speaker" at the end of the command.

Lastly, you can start the playback directly from your phone so you can select the speaker you'd like to use and then control the music with the voice commands.

Hope this clears things up. Don't hesitate to reach out again if you have questions.
