Spotify android app ridiculously slow

It has been a few months now that the spotify app on my phone has been ridiculously slow and lagy the problem started on my galaxy s7 and continued on my s9+ it has gotten to the point that it's simply not usable anymore it will lag even when pressing play and pause you can press pause and the music will keep playing playlists take forever to load. I've tried everything that I've read online a clean install of the app updating the app allowing storage permissions for it clearing the cache making another account  and nothing has made any difference. I cant see why I would pay for spotify anymore it is just not acceptable although the desktop app on my windows 10 laptop works perfectly

I thought it's only me... I'm with Nokia 8 and Android 8.1, also with a premium account. The app is almost unusable!
