Spotify automatically dowloads music saved to my library

My Question or Issue

 Hi,

I am about to reach the 3,333 downloaded songs limit, so I want to SAVE music to my library instead of DOWNLOADING. However, every time I save an album or a song, the same is automatically downloaded. I have even tried saving music in my laptop but, as soon as I open Spotify in my android mobile, the same is automatically downloaded to listen on offline mode.

How can I save music to my library without downloading it?

To stop the songs getting downloaded on your phone just go to Your Library -> Songs. On the top, there should be a green toggle button on the right of Downloaded. Make sure this is turned off and the songs won't be automatically downloaded.
