Spotify connect problems, need to reinstall to fix it each time

I use spotify connect (not chromecast) to play audio on my stereo via my android TV. I recently switched to an android phone, now regularly the option to stream to the spotify connect tv disappears, this can be fixed by removing the spofity app and reinstalling it on my phone. On my girlfrieds iPhone we don't have this problem. Is there any fix for this that does not require reinstalling the app?
