Spotify crashes and can't be launched

First, I clicked the portion to get into the controls section. Then it crashes the whole app. When I try to launch it again, it will crash.
I tried reinstalling, the same matter happens. Sometimes I can't even reach the log in page.
Even if I did not do anything it will still crash
I cleared the cache and data but still unable to work as well. I am using a Spotify premium account
I'm using a XiaoMi Mi4i running on version 5.0.2LRX22G.
My spotify version is 6.3.0.882

You are using a Xiao what? 😄
Check Google, many people having issues with the XiaoMi Mi4i and Spotify. Sorry to tell but maybe you try a custom rom or another smartphone.

I have the exact same issue on Xiaomi Mi4c. The app used to work just fine, so I think some recent update caused this. Interestingly enough, I can even play music, but as soon as I attempt to open the control screen, the app crashes and will no longer launch. Clean reinstall does not fix the issue.

Thanks! Yup using the mi4i. Shall try the custom rom
