Spotify crashes when I go to settings (gear symbol)

I have a Samsung galaxy tab s  (model SM-T707A) running android version 5.0.2. Ever since the Spotify upgrade, I cannot get into the settings (as noted by the gear symbol). When tapped, I get booted out of spotify. I already reloaded spotify and have the same problem. 

Everything else works, I just cannot get into settings at all.  When I tap the gear symbol, the screen seems to go to settings, then the screen is black, and I get booted out of Spotify after all few seconds.

Anyone have any ideas on how to fix or have had similar problems?

Someone else had the same issue recently and reinstalling spotify following these steps fixed it - give it a try.

I'm having the same problem with my galaxy tab, but uninstalling and reinstalling the app didn't fix it. Everything works fine on my phone, are there any other suggestions? What does the force stop button do, would that fix it?

I followed it with those steps and it still happens no matter what.
It's been like this for 6 months already..

Thanks for reaching out about this. 

Would you mind sending over your device's make, model and OS version?

Also, have you made sure to follow these steps when reinstalling the app? This will be helpful to get rid of any corrupted files that might be causing trouble.
