Spotify devices list is different when going outside network

Spotify devices list is different when going outside network

Plan

Premium

Country

Romania

Device

Samsung Galaxy A70

Operating System

Android 9

My Issue:

When logged inside my home network I'able to see a complete list of devices and listening on any of them. However, when going outside(like GSM mobile data), I'm able to see that only one device(I think the one that is currently active in house and playing sound from other phone that use my spotify credentials). The same thing is happening on linux spotify client(is able to see only one device in list). I'll attach two screen shots (one inside home network, one în GSM mobile data). I would expect to see them all.

For me, this is an very smart feature and worth each peny.

Hey, @Catalin_Olteanu
Welcome to Spotify Community and thanks for reaching out here!

This happens because when you are outside of your home, using a mobile data connection, you don't have the compatibility to the Connect because this feature requires that all devices be connected to the same WiFi network

In your situation, we can try the following:

  1. Tap Home icon_home.png.
  2. Tap Settings icon_settings.png.
  3. Tap Devices.
  4. Switch off Show local devices only and try Connect again.

If you have any other further questions or need more help, let me know! I'd love to help!

Best Regards,
hezorg
