Spotify in Android Note 5 makes buzzing/lagging noise when playing with headphones

I've been having issues listening to spotify with my phone with the headphones. It also seems to only happen when the screen is off as well. It makes these bugging noises and lagging noises as well. Happens to both downloaded and non downloaded songs. Have tried clearing cache, uninstalling and reinstall. 

I know this isn't the phone since with YouTube or other apps it doesn't happen.

Edit: After a few days, the issue is back. This is not a solution...

I have been experiencing the same issue along with several others that have the Note 5. The problem started (I think) after the last system update that was pushed to the phone. 

What seems to have solved the problem (so far) was clearing the system cache via the recovery menu.

Have you tried that? I do believe it is different than just the application cache.
