Issue has been solved. I got a new router from provider yesterday and it seems that Spotify/Fire TV Stick can't handle IPv6. after switching off IPv6 (in Router options) all is working fine again.
I Have gone through the exact same steps on my insignia fire tv. And still luck in getting anything but 4 or 5 seconds of silence and then it try's to switch tracks and repeats the problem.
Only started within the last 2 days.
Hi folks,
Thank you for your posts here in the Community and for all the info about the steps you've already tried.
@taivas87b, could you give us more details about the situation? We understand the app on your FireTV is not working, but what exactly is happening? If you see an error, send over a photo.
Now, @Restolock, does this happen when you control the music from your mobile device to the FireTV and when doing it directly from the FireTV as well? On another, if you haven't, try using a different internet connection. If you don't have any available, you could create a hotspot network from your mobile device and use it to check. Additionally, try using a different Spotify account and let us know if you can replicate the behavior. It could be a family member or friend's account.
We'll keep an eye out for your replies.
Hi,
It had been happening when controlling the device from my computer, mobile, and the tv itself. I tried all the above as well as switching networks. I tried again randomly this morning and it was working just fine. It Must hav e just been something in the network.
Hi @Restolock,
Thanks for your prompt reply.
We're glad to know everything is working correctly again. Don't hesitate to reach back to us in case the app starts to misbehave again, or if you need help with something else. We're always here for you.
Cheers!
same here. Spotify has been working fine for about 4years on my Fire tv. Since yesterday the songs are playing but there is no sound coming out. The issue is only with Spotify. I tried to delete it and re install it. Nothing.
Spotify app is skipping after few seconds on TV and tracks were playing without audio. Spotify support couldn't assist, they refer to Fire TV Support.... 😒
I tried to make a Video from this issue: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1-7SNuLmPOQfBb2a1LCyb7FUYjJ8sKXJ7
Spotiy and Amazon quit the customer support as they can't help anymore. Unbeliveable, Billions available but unable to help.....
If somebody cares, that's the last try from spotify: "If that doesn't help, as a last resort, we suggest that you reach out to Amazon customer service. They will likely walk you through everything you've already tried before considering the possibility of any hardware issues, but they should be able to help diagnose the problem."

This issue still stands all over the world, is there any fix coming?
Ipv6 is a new standard, some people don't have the option to disable it if the carrier uses it exclusively...
Mine is doing the same thing Restock described and has been for over a month. I am not sure what exactly would fix it. Ive tried uninstalling and reinstalling it multiple times, resetting my tv and router, but nothing has worked so far
Hi Vasil,
I've been having the same problem for some time now. I've already reset the TV to factory defaults and tested the app again and I still have the same problem. Today I have a SmartTV with Amazon FireTV. The app was last updated on June 13, 2024. The TV has Fire OS 7.6.7.3 Home Version 6520055.1
