Spotify keeps creating a download notification and keeps my phone awake

My Question or Issue

Spotify keeps creating a download notification (downward arrow) every minute and it keeps my phone awake and that keeps draining my battery. I tried reinstalling spotify but it keeps doing it. Doesnt matter if im on 3G/4G or WIFI. I only have 3 playlist downloaded , and even though I deleted the downloads and put them again so i can only listen to them online, it keeps doing it.

Is there any solution to this?

Same here, since the last update it's been buggy as **bleep**.

Just randomly starts redownloading songs that are deleted at random as well.

I also tried reinstalling/spotifiy app updates / deleting the cache

Yes. Exactly that. I know it's Spotify because it stays for a while in the
lock screen and that allows me to press it and it says it's Spotify.

I also did that and nothing changed.

I think i figured out why it is happening. I've made a post about it:

A workaround would be using the offline mode. And only deactvating it to sync offline music. Not ideal but it works for now..
