Spotify looks completely different and revamped on my friend's phone but still looks old to me, no updates available how can I get the new interface?

probably your phone is not compatible with the last versions. What spotify version do you have?

There's a phased rollout of a new UI to free users, many of who are really unhappy with it. If you're a free user you'll get it soon. You can read about the changes here.
