Spotify resume playback when i open the app after disconnecting from Android Auto

My Question or Issue

Whenever i disconnect my phone from Android Auto and open the app on the phone it automatically resumes playing. If i dont open the app it wont resume. On the first open after the disconnect it shows an icon on the player as if im still connected to the car media. The only 2 ways to stop it is to either open the app and click pause or to force-close the background process of Spotify.
The issue didnt exist on my older Samsung Galaxy A70 device

I would recommend that you first check if the app is updated on your current device. You can also try a clean reinstall - it’s more thorough than the normal one and ensures that no cached data is causing interference.
